New Skates....at least to us!

Last week I found some speed skates on Craigslist!  I kinda sorta met an awesome person in the process.  The gal that had the skates for sale was super nice on the phone and we had alot of the same taste in home decor stuff (she even had a poster on the wall that I used to have!)  but she wasn't there whenever I picked them up.  I hate that I never got to met her in person!  Back to the skates.....they only cost me $10!!!!  See God knew I wanted skates and didn't have a lot of money to spend on them!
Psalms 37:4 says
"Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart"
The only thing about the skates is they don't have stoppers on them....how do you stop without stoppers?  I guess I will find out soon!
Of course this means that Faith also needed skates!  I wasn't really sure where I would find skates to fit her but Mommy can't have a pair if Faith doesn't have one!  The problem was solved today when we went to the Hospice Flea Market!  I got Faith a pair of inlines for $.25!!!  You really can't beat that!  So  we went home skated for a while then took our rollergirl photos.

  3. Skates are so fun! I was just telling my boyfriend the other day I needed to pick up a pair because I miss skating so much. I'll check craigslist! Thanks for the tip. :)

  5. New follower here! Love the "new to you" skates, I should dig around craigslist too and see if I can find some in the Atlanta area. Me and several of my friends are going to be roller derby girls for Halloween. :)

  7. Oh, wow! That shop is great. I'll pass it along to my friends. I just read your post about you getting the Derby itch too after watching Whip It. The reason I watched it was because a relative ended up with the Big Pig from the movie in his front yard. You can read about it here: http://www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2010/01/a_birthday_surprise_of_pigish.html
